Scientific and Clinical Rationale
Metabolic Syndrome (MS) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD/MASLD) recognize insulin resistance and silent low-grade chronic inflammation (Low Grade Chronic Inflammation - LGCI) as their two main pathophysiological drivers. Hypertrophic visceral adipose tissue releases an excess of free fatty acids and pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6) into the portal circulation, which downstream block the insulin receptor at both the muscular and hepatic levels. This systemic and asymptomatic inflammatory state – or inflammaging – alters intestinal permeability, induces oxidative stress, and accelerates tissue deterioration (joint, vascular, and gastrointestinal), positioning itself as the true "mother of all" degenerative diseases.
The combined and synergistic approach with the nutraceuticals MOLTITUDO® DIAMLOE and MOLTITUDO® LUNAE precisely addresses this complex pathogenic network through a multi-target action. While DIAMLOE intervenes at the metabolic-cellular level, regulating glucose absorption, inhibiting de novo lipogenesis, and promoting appetite and body weight control, LUNAE acts complementarily by modulating the systemic and cellular inflammatory cascade through the blockade of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and the inhibition of the transcription factor NF-κB.
Both formulations in the MOLTITUDO® line are characterized by capsules and tablets that are entirely plant-based and suitable for those following a vegan diet, free from animal derivatives, naturally gluten-free, and sugar-free, ensuring maximum purity, tolerability, and cellular biocompatibility

Recommended Daily Dosage Schedule
In order to optimize the bioavailability of the phytocomplexes, modulate the postprandial glycemic response, and support inflammatory balance, the following intake is recommended:
- LUNCH:
- 2 capsules of MOLTITUDO® DIAMLOE (to be taken preferably 30 minutes before the meal)
- 1 tablet of MOLTITUDO® LUNAE (to be taken preferably with the meal)
- DINNER:
- 2 capsules of MOLTITUDO® DIAMLOE (to be taken preferably 30 minutes before the meal)
- 1 tablet of MOLTITUDO® LUNAE (to be taken preferably with the meal)
Take each dose with a glass of water.
Product Analysis and Rationale of Action
1. MOLTITUDO® DIAMLOE: Metabolic and Lipolytic Support and Appetite Control
- Rationale for use: It specifically acts on the modulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. It reduces intestinal glucose absorption, hinders the conversion of carbohydrates into fatty acids (lipogenesis), and acts at the central level supporting the control of the feeling of satiety and mood, critical factors in patients with metabolic alterations.

Biological Mechanism of the Components of DIAMLOE:
- Garcinia cambogia (HCA 60%): Hydroxycitric acid competitively inhibits the hepatic enzyme ATP-citrate lyase, blocking the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol de novo. It increases hepatic glycogen synthesis and modulates serotonin, reducing compulsive appetite.
- Gymnema sylvestre (25% Gymnemic Acids): Gymnemic acids reduce intestinal glucose absorption by reversibly binding to intestinal receptors and exert a protective and supportive effect on pancreatic beta cells.
- Green Coffee (45% Chlorogenic Acid): Inhibits glucose-6-phosphatase and alpha-glucosidase, reducing hepatic glycogenolysis and intestinal glucose absorption, improving peripheral lipid utilization.
- Griffonia simplicifolia (20% 5-HTP): 5-hydroxytryptophan is the direct biological precursor of serotonin. It regulates mood and reduces complex carbohydrate cravings (craving).
- Maitake: Medicinal mushroom whose polysaccharides (beta-glucans) act by improving peripheral receptor sensitivity to insulin and supporting the immune system.
- Piperine (Piper longum): Acts as a bio-enlarger, inhibiting biotransformation enzymes (phase I and II) to significantly increase the bioavailability and half-life of all associated phytocomplexes.
- Dog Rose & Vitamin E: They provide a synergistic hydro- and lipophilic action for the protection of cell membranes from systemic oxidative stress.
2. MULTITUDO® LUNAE: Physiological Anti-inflammatory Modulation and Drainage
- Rationale for Use: Multi-level enzymatic and phytotherapeutic formulation aimed at extinguishing tissue- and intestinal low-grade chronic inflammation (LGCI), reducing localized tension states and oxidative damage.

Biological Mechanism of LUNAE Components:
- Bromelain (2500 GDU): A cysteine protease enzyme that reduces tissue edema, degrades extracellular fibrin deposits, and modulates the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, also finding application in restoring gastrointestinal integrity.
- Boswellia serrata (65% Boswellic Acids): AKBA specifically inhibits the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzyme, blocking the inflammatory leukotriene cascade without compromising the integrity of the gastric mucosa.
- Tetrahydrocurcuminoids: Active metabolites stably extracted from Curcuma longa, which interfere with the degradation of factor I$\kappa B$ by blocking the nuclear translocation of NF−$\kappa B$, suppressing the expression of COX−2, TNF−$\alpha$ and IL-6.
